Passive Income Unleashed: Your Guide to Making Money Online 2024

Why You Should Start Blogging!

I've only been blogging for a little over two months. Many of my mentoring students have asked me for blogging guidance. I've been hesitant to teach anything about blogging since I don't feel I know enough about it. I'm a lot more at ease teaching about stuff I'm familiar with.

So, according to Alexa, this blog is almost in the top 10,000 most visited websites on the Internet today. Many of the strategies that are unique to blog promotion have proven to be successful for me. It occurred to me that it was past time to create a post regarding blog promotion. BUT HOLD ON! I haven't even explained why I'm writing this blog. I can't really start driving traffic to your blog without first explaining why I have one and why you should, can I?

Let's go back to the beginning of my story. Many of the tools you see me offering today were not available to me when I started out online. I didn't have any merchandise. I didn't know how to write a copy. My search engine ranking data was the key to my initial Internet success. I'd just develop high-ranking websites for specific markets and sell the traffic generated by those websites to individuals with copywriting skills and products. Obviously, I don't endorse it any longer. Knowing how to attract traffic is multiplied by having your own product and having copywriting skills. I now concentrate on all three parts of your Internet business and advise you to do the same.

Don't underestimate the traffic business, though. Think about it. Who is the wealthiest person on the planet? Right. Bill Gates is a well-known businessman. He is a software salesman. Software is a profitable venture! But think about it. What are the three most popular websites on the Internet? If you're not sure, ask Alexa. OK, don't double-check. I'll just say this:

1. Yahoo

2. Google

3. MSN (Microsoft)

Take a closer look at the third one. That's the corporation that Bill Gates (the world's richest man; remember?) founded. Now he's wasting his time on the internet in third place.

Let's take a step forward now. What are the products sold on those three websites? Take a minute to think about this one. A test will be conducted.

That's correct. They make money by selling traffic (or they mostly sell traffic Yahoo and MSN are a tiny bit more diverse than that). Isn't that fascinating? The world's richest billionaire, who made his fortune selling software, now wants to sell traffic.

That was merely a diversion. Well, we'll get to that later. My experience selling traffic was what I wanted to share with you (which is still the largest part of my business). I made a blunder. I sold traffic under the guise of a corporation. My traffic buyers have no idea who I am. They simply purchase traffic from XYZ Corporation since it converts to sales. The XYZ Corporation does not have a personality. In reality, it's completely automatic, and the majority of my customers seem to appreciate it.

I attempted to change that a few years back. I began sending them emails with instructions on how to get the most out of my traffic service. It was too late for me. They had never heard of me and didn't want to hear from me.

Then I made one final attempt (which I'm pleased I did) by offering them a traffic special for that month. I believe I got a two-for-one bargain or something like. That day, more than a quarter of my consumers purchased a new campaign. With that one email, I made nearly $60,000 in one day. That piqued my interest! I still believe that. I can make thousands of dollars in a single day by writing a single email. That appeals to a lot of marketers, I believe.

Your customer list has amazing power! If a sales page can convert 2% of strangers into customers, you may convert 25% of your existing customers into clients of another product using the same sales page. That is a tremendous statement!

I gave it a shot with a different product. It was an excellent product. It belonged to me. The traffic those clients were buying was the result of their search engine research. In effect, I was promising to educate them how to get the same traffic I was selling. It was a colossal flop. No one was interested in purchasing. I experimented with a variety of other products. Nothing. Why?

Some of the comments immediately told me something. They didn't recognize me despite the fact that I was writing under the firm name. I'll say it again. They had never heard of me before. They were familiar with my business. They were aware that my firm provided high-converting traffic, but they were unfamiliar with me. A company's recommendation by another corporation isn't particularly powerful. It isn't nearly as potent as a personal recommendation.

As a result, I went on to participate in the Freedom Events. You're aware of how things turned out. They sold out based on the endorsement of a few well-known Internet marketers. I've learned my lesson. You'll need one of the following to obtain that 25% figure:

1. To market to your customers as a business and sell a special offer on a product that your consumers are already familiar with.

2. To market to your consumers as individuals and sell a special offer on any product that you personally advocate and for which you have never previously offered a negative endorsement.

I preferred to accomplish the latter with my own clients rather than those of another Internet marketer.

What is the most effective method for accomplishing this? As far as I can tell, a blog is the ideal venue for this. I endorse this blog because I sell things (and cross-market them on the owners' pages). It's something I do pretty early on in the process. It's indicated on the owners page, as well as in the first email most individuals receive after purchasing one of my goods.

They purchase the goods from a stranger, but I quickly expose myself as the product's designer by directing them (you) to my site.

Then there's the fact that I don't disguise the blog beneath a business look. You do purchase my things from a company, but do you know who that company is? What does it matter what it's called? I'd like for you to get to know who I am. This blog was created with that goal in mind.

Some people are now finding this site before buying one of my items. That's fine as well. Some individuals purchase a product solely on the basis of the sales page. Some people buy because they know the author never puts out garbage. Some people are motivated by a mix of these factors.

So, yes, a blog is a good idea. I recommend starting your blog between the third and fourth product in your primary market. That's when I decided to start this blog. That's also the time to start cross-promoting your three or four products on their individual pages.

Here are some additional points that I believe are critical:

1. Register your blog's domain name using your name.

2. Instead of a fancy blog name, put your name at the top.

3. Be open about yourself. Do not write on your blog as if you were a customer service representative for a huge corporation, never sharing anything personal about yourself and only following the corporate script. Talk to your consumers as if they were old friends. Don't put out your home address or phone number, but what are you frightened of in the context of the blog? Allow your readers to get to know you through your blog.

4. Make frequent posts. It is very easy for people to fall into the habit of doing something daily or hourly. Developing a weekly or monthly habit is significantly more challenging. Post at least once a day to encourage your blog followers to read what you have to say on a regular basis.

5. Don't be concerned about disclosing product secrets. That's one of the reasons I'm now solely selling software, videos, and mentoring services. It's simply impossible to give up too much information on your blog by accident. Text is a more fragile medium than software or video. Even if I could explain something in words all day, purchasing the software to automate the task and/or purchasing the film to understand how it all works will be beneficial.

6. Add a subscribe button to your blog (and all of your content sites). Some people will desire to subscribe to your blog but will forget. You must provide them with a method for receiving notifications when you post. Over time, this will result in a significant rise in the number of return visits.

Okay, I believe that addresses the topic of why I have a blog, why you should, and how you should start one. Now I can get into the specific strategies to drive traffic to a blog that are specifically available to blogs and not to other types of websites. That will be covered in a later post.

For the time being, go ahead and register your domain and install WordPress on it. Set up your subscription link. Write an article, post it on your blog, and then submit it using Artemis Pro with a link to your blog in the resource box. That's how I got started just over two months ago, and I'm almost in the top 10,000 most viewed websites on the Internet right now. See if you can outsmart me in the coming months.
